Cherie's blog

Everytime I launch into something new, which seems quite often, I am reminded of the kindness of this community - both new and old friends.

I introduced myself at a women's gathering in Grenfell last week as a storyteller. I am very good at it -I learnt from a young age that telling a story can engage an audience.

When you sign up for healing, there are a lot of people that help you along the way. Most teachers and supporters show up right when you are looking for a sign or a way forwards.

Once again I come to you with thanks - you have chosen to read this blog! And even if you don’t read it, you have chosen to have this letter in your inbox.

I know it might seem easy for me to be spruiking the idea of attending a workshop, or a yoga practice, or a retreat. The thing is, it’s a big step for many of us.

Oh gosh, I am totally in love with Missy Higgin's new song 'The Second Act'. I had the magical experience to see Missy last month in Sydney.

I might keep the 'abundance' theme going for the time being (my 2024 word of the year.) That way I might just continue to see the world for what it has.

I am a non-Indigenous woman, of Scottish, Irish and English heritage, coming to you from Forbes on Wiradjuri Country, on the banks of the Galari River. First Nations people know the medicine, the foods, the systems and the seasons. Their knowledge has been accumulated over generations of living with the land and I respect that deeply. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
